Zach + Kristina Engagement

Yesterday was a beautiful day in Wichita, you wouldn’t even know we are in the thick of Tornado season!

Zach & Kristina are getting married in June and I am the lucky dog that gets to shoot their wedding, knowing these 2 and their friends an epic party will ensue!   Thanks for the laughs guys, I had a great time yesterday and I have a feeling “dog in a drawer” will be the next big thing!!

Be sure to check out the slideshow at the bottom.

Easter & the twins……

We had a great Easter Sunday with a lot of good food and company!
I cooked some potatoes that may make the blog, they were called “awful potatoes”….weird name, rad potatoes that you will like.

Easter afternoon our friend/neighbor Stefanie came by with her cute as a button twin girls Lydia and Claire, the darling Maddie and the two dudes Connor and Kaleb.  To say her hands are full is an understatement! These kids are so much fun and full of life its a blast having them around and always an adventure when they visit or I pick them up for a ride around the hood on the golf cart. Sarah has forever wanted me to take pictures of the twin girls and Stefanie promised to bring them over on Easter to get in a quick session. To say it was like herding cats would make it sound too easy..HA!    After all the kids settled in and started doing their own thing we got some great shots of not only the little girls but a few of Connor and Maddie as well.

All in all I think we captured their personalities pretty well! Thanks for bringing the “crew” by Stef, it was a ton of fun!

Claire meet world….world meet Claire

Lydia, welcome to the party….
Maddie being Maddie…..There is no better way to sum up Connor than this photo….

Aunt Mimi…..

Sarah’s sister Tami was in town for spring break (teachers life!) & Easter last week and Evan was excited to have his Aunt Mimi here.  I am not sure why he calls her Mimi but it has stuck?  She wanted some pictures of her and Evan together before she left so we managed to snap off a few and of course I bribed her to let me take some of her as well, cant have too many photos right?!!
We shot these close to sunset with a little off camera lighting assistance from my partner in crime/wife…. (thanks honey)

Thanks for being a good sport Tami! Enjoy the photos, see ya soon!

Sweet light – Wichita Photography

Tonight Sarah and I took Evan out to get a few shots and test out a new softbox I picked up along with some radio triggers for my flash.  Evan as usual was not keen on standing still but I managed to crack off a few decent shots of him as the sun was starting to go down.  Sarah chased him around with the softbox while I barked off orders on where to go, it was like herding cats.   He may be the most photographed child in history, he just can’t say no like the other boys!

I will be sending out some messages via facebook soon looking for a few friends that would like to model for some evening shots with flash.  It will be an easy gig, smile + be pretty = get rad photos from me!

See the dirt on his pants?  This happened within 3 seconds of exiting the car…. yeah

This boy is full of I-T…….. I think he wanted to punch me here

Heather & Rito engaged

Yesterday there was a break in the weather in Kansas and it was a beautiful day, sunshine and 65 degrees!  As I type this it is 35 degrees and sleeting… welcome to Kansas.

I had the pleasure of shooting Heather and Rito’s engagement pictures for them yesterday.  Heather is good friends with My wife and sister in law so I have known her for about 5 years, this was my first time meeting Rito.  These two have great chemistry as you can see below, makes it so easy to shoot people that are in love and affectionate!  These two lucky dawgs are getting married in Jamaica and coming back to celebrate with family and friends next month.  Congratulations you guys, we cant wait for the party to start!!!
